National Animal Care And Control Appreciation Week is celebrated every year during the second full week of April. The animal protection officers deserve our thanks for serving our communities and sometimes even risking their lives.

Some go even further, such as Denise Gove, an officer who descended 100 feet into a ravine to rescue a ten-week-old puppy. We should recognize animal controllers for all the hard work they do, which you may not be aware of.

Here are six tasks that animal care and control officers perform for our communities and our animals that deserve appreciation.

How else do animal protection officers take care of our communities? Would you like to spread the Week of Appreciation for Animal Care and Control to say thank you? Then let us know in the comments below!
